Reunion Swim Guinness World Record Holders

1500m Swim, (2 laps of 750m triangular GWR course). This is not a race and designed to begin the Camlough Lake Water festival. It will be a Group start with boat cover. There is no cost to participate in this event. There is an age restriction of 16 years and over, unless the swimmer is known to be a competent swimmer by the organisers. Registration will take place at lake side and will close at 18:00.

Waterpolo Tournament

This is a waterpolo competition with teams from Ireland, UK and Europe. This is a fantastic spectators sport and is rarely or never played in the open water in Ireland. This tournament will start from Friday 17th September and continue throughout the weekend until Sunday 19th September. There will be camping facilities available for all teams at a cost of £20 per team. There is an age restriction of 16 years and under, unless the swimmer is known to be a competent swimmer by the organisers. Registration will take place at lake side and will close at 21:00 prior to the event. This is a buddy swim, therefore an experienced swimmer must buddy with a less experienced swimmer, to ensure safety at all times. There will be boat and canoe cover at this event along with glow-sticks and helium balloons provided. Junior Aquathon - Swim and Run

 The Aquathon is for entrants aged between 10 and 15 years (inclusive). The event is designed to give juniors and minors an opportunity to participate in an event similar to triathlons. All competitors must be competent swimmers, confirmed & signed for by parent/guardian, be accompanied to the lake by parent or guardian and wear a wetsuit. The distance for the swim and the run varies depending on the age group. (Age as of 31st Dec 2010)

10 to 11 years- 150 metre Swim 1.0km Run

12 to 13 years - 300m Swim 1.5km Run

14 to 15 years - 300 m Swim 2km Run

750m Swim and 2km Run. This event is a knockout system, where the participant continues to complete the Aquathon until there is no other participants standing. Each time the course has be completed the slower participants will be relegated, this will continue until the winner prevails. This event requires strategy and endurance. PTL Swimming Gala

This event is being organised by Newry and Mourne Swimming Club and will involve 50m of butterfly, back crawl, breast stroke and freestyle. The event will take place in a 50m course in the open water. The cost to participate in this event is £1.50 per stroke.  Age groupings for the event are 14 years & under, 15 - 18 years, 19 - 23 years, 24 - 40 years, 41 - 50 years and 51 years and above. Provides a forum for the most accomplished group of open water distance swimmers in Ireland and further a field to take part in an electronically timed event over the longer distance of 10km and is insured by Swim Ireland. This is a Non wetsuit event and swimmers who require feeding during the race will be expected to provide their own canoe cover, alternatively there will be a central location for all feeds for those without canoe cover.  The cost to participate in this event will be £20.00, to enter please click on the link 'Enrol Here'. Notes

There will be camping facilities available for all participants with hot showers and cooking facilites at a cost of £20 per Tent or £20 per waterpolo team.

BBQ will be on most of the time you can cook your own or purchase some from are 1st class cooks.
